The 2024 Beibu Gulf University Academic Seminar on Marine Engineering and Automation was held in Fangchenggang, Guangxi. Organized by Beibu Gulf University, the seminar was undertaken by the College of Mechanical and Marine Engineering, the Eastern Michigan Joint College of Engineering. Beibu Gulf University, and the Guangxi Key Laboratory of Marine Engineering Equipment and Technology. Tang Gaohua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Beibu Gulf University, Chen Dan, member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President, attended the opening ceremony. Ten professors and foreign teachers from the College of Mechanical and Marine Engineering and the Eastern Michigan Joint College of Engineering. Beibu Gulf University delivered keynote speeches, and the opening ceremony was presided over by Chen Dan.
At the opening ceremony, Tang Gaohua warmly welcomed all experts and scholars attending the seminar and wished the seminar a complete success. He emphasized that the seminar serves as a platform for academic exchange and an important opportunity to promote the further integration of industry and education and technological innovation. He stated that this seminar would strengthen international academic exchanges and cooperation, cultivating more outstanding results in future teaching and research.
Professor Qin Hu, a foreign teacher representative delivered a speech on behalf of Eastern Michigan University. She highly praised the academic research achievements and educational quality of Beibu Gulf University. She stated that Eastern Michigan University would further strengthen cooperation with Beibu Gulf University, striving to achieve greater progress in the joint application of international academic projects and student education. Finally, she expressed the wish of success of the seminar.
During the keynote academic presentation, ten scholars from the College of Mechanical and Marine Engineering and Eastern Michigan Joint College of Engineering. Beibu Gulf University delivered splendid reports on the latest technologies, development trends, as well as challenges and opportunities in the field of marine engineering and automation. Scholars actively exchanged ideas during the discussion session.
The purpose of this seminar is to explore the latest research achievements, technological challenges, and new trends in the field of marine engineering and automation. This seminar strengthens the cross-integration of disciplines researches of our university, and sparks insights into the latest research achievements in the field of marine engineering and automation. It provides an excellent communication platform for further enhancing "internationalization" and "marine characteristics" in students education.
